GORAN MITROVIĆ
When realizing an idea for a painting, I use several art techniques that help me develop and implement them. In the initial phase, I draw sketches for the picture and drawings of individual details. I create and explore in mixed media to visualize the initial idea that makes it easier for me to paint an oil painting.
In the need to enrich the visual and aesthetic experience of my poetics, I paint some unusual objects that are inspired by the need to project the image into space. The sculptures were created in the beginning as a setting for a painting and later became separate works that are part of my artistic poetics.
Through painting, I explore and find surreal scenes that are a distorted reality enriched with a deep spiritual experience. In the picture, as if on stage, I insert the figures of messengers and wanderers, cities from the imagination, celestial vessels that wander through the sky, an atmosphere that is enriched by an irrational reality that is illuminated by the light of the universe.
The drawing is the beginning of the realization of the initial idea. A separate icon and aesthetic form, it allows to easily record figures and individual details separated from the imagined scene.
Guided by the constant need for research and realization of ideas, I search for authentic expression. I use multiple technological processes and materials to capture my idea and emotion.
Sculptures and objects were initially part of the setting for the painting and later became separate works that are part of my artistic poetics. They were created using several materials, such as metal, electronics, wood, plastic and ice illuminated on individual sculptures.
